Timesdo. New York, USA.-The family of Kyng Royal Foster, the 3-year-old boy who tragically lost his life after being abandoned at University Hospital at Downstate, is pleading for his mother to turn herself in as authorities continue a widespread manhunt.
The child’s 24-year-old mother, Sunshine Davis, and her 38-year-old boyfriend allegedly left the unresponsive toddler at the Brooklyn hospital on Saturday morning, then swiftly fled the scene.

The young boy was covered in what appeared to be bruises, though investigators are still determining if the injuries were from physical harm or lividity, a condition that occurs after death.
Outside the hospital, the boy’s godmother, Sabrina Johnson, made an emotional plea, urging Davis to surrender to authorities. “It’s easier for you to turn yourself in and explain yourself, versus them finding you,” she implored during a PIX11 interview.
She also voiced concerns for Davis’ well-being, stating that she had been manipulated by her older boyfriend.

Meanwhile, the boy’s grandmother, Kanyatta Foster, expressed her grief and devastation, revealing she has now lost her only grandchild. “It’s hurting me. I don’t know what to do right now,” she lamented.
Law enforcement officials have confirmed that Davis and her boyfriend fled the hospital shortly after leaving the child and have been on the run since Saturday morning. The NYPD has launched a manhunt to locate the couple, as investigators work to uncover the full circumstances surrounding the boy’s death.
Reports have surfaced that the boy’s maternal grandmother had filed for custody in 2022, citing concerns over Davis’ alleged drug use. However, a judge denied the custody request, leaving the child in his mother’s care.
Authorities are urging anyone with information on the whereabouts of Sunshine Davis and her boyfriend to come forward as the investigation intensifies.
